Museum District Homes in an Architectural Jewel
Originally the home of Saint Gertrude High School, the first building on this shaded campus dates to 1922. Repurposing of the buildings into luxury living accommodations began in 2023. While it is now home to modern condominiums with desirable amenities, many of the features and architectural flourishes of the original buildings remain. Located in Richmond’s coveted and historic Museum District, it is within walking distance of the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts, storied Monument Avenue, numerous local eateries, and Richmond’s famous Cary Street shopping district.

Museum District
Richmond’s Museum District is named for the two museums lining its eastern edge along Arthur Ashe Boulevard: The Virginia Museum of Fine Arts (VMFA) and the Virginia Museum of History & Culture. The VMFA is one of the largest art museums in North America, and its collection of over 50,000 pieces includes works by Peter Paul Rubens, John singer Sargent, Gilbert Stuart, and the largest collection of Fabergé pieces outside of Russia. Bound by Richmond’s Fan District to the east, I-195 to the west, Monument Avenue to the north, and Carytown to the south, it has 22 properties listed on the National Register of Historic Places, and is a U.S. Historic District. Shops and restaurants are scattered throughout the neighborhood, from eateries in the “Devil’s Triangle” to the boutiques in and around Carytown. Arthur Ashe Boulevard provides ready access to the James River Park System, and interstates 64 and 95.
